Rosa Parks: Life after Montgomery

It is well known that Rosa Parks was instrumental in spearheading the civil rights movement by refusing to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama city bus to a white passenger. His life was a glimmer of hope in a world of inequality. Â It is important to understand what happened to him after the bus boycott that began shortly after his arrest. Bus Boycott Montgomery was organized due to Rosa??? S arrest for violating the city ordinance that required all public transport are separate. Â The effects of the boycott 381 days were large paralyze public transport system, and severely damage the business district downtown. Rosa Parks’s life continued to have an impact, even after these events. We know it has become the face of a civil rights movement after the boycott of Montgomery buses. Â But the story does not end there. Â It is also crucial to understand the difficulties she and her husband suffered. She lost her job at the store where the store, she worked heard of his arrest, and her husband lost his after his boss forbade him from talking about his wife or his legal troubles. Neither Rosa nor her husband, Raymond, could find work in Montgomery. Finally, Rosa, Raymond and Rosa??? The mother away from Montgomery and then settled in Detroit, Michigan. His first book was called an autobiography, Rosa Parks: My Story, this publication has described his life in the south during the era of segregation. His second book, entitled Quiet Strength talked about what role religion plays in his life. While Rosa??? S Story has become an inspiration for all races, it is important to understand the difficulties she has experienced. With the hardships she faced, she also had moments of success rate obtaining some of the United States highest awards including the Prix Spingam, which is the NAACP?? S greatest honor Martin Luther King, Jr., Presidential Medal of Freedom, which was awarded by President Bill Clinton, and the highest honor awarded by our executive branch, Congressional Gold Medal, which is still the highest distinction granted by our legislature, and in 1999, Time Magazine named Rosa Parks as one of 20 people a few centuries the most influential. She has received praise for his profound influence in the fight for equal rights. Unfortunately, October 24, 2005 Rosa Parks died in her apartment at the age of 92, from complications of progressive dementia. His death was celebrated by many memorials, including the state located at Capital Hill Rotunda in Washington DC There were approximately 50,000 visitors who came to pay their last tribute to this amazing woman. She was then buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit between her mother and husband. Â Later, the mausoleum where she was buried was renamed â?? Rosa L. Parks Freedom Chapel. Â It was a fitting end to an incredible life, it is still surprising that a woman could achieve such a change to a single action.
